Our Facility

In 2015, we celebrated our 10th anniversary of the Harvey Penick Golf Campus. The campus is built on property leased from our partner, the East Communities YMCA and conveniently located 10-minutes from downtown off 183.

The Harvey Penick Golf Campus is a 112-acre public facility that features a 9-hole PGA-Tour designed golf course and one of the best public practice facilities in the central Texas with a grass-only driving range, two practice greens, and a 3-hole short course. The 9-hole course is an easy two-mile walk and is usually played in 1½ hours. The course lies in a beautiful wooded valley and crosses Walnut Creek three times. In 2014, the facility opened Austin’s first Footgolf course. The 18-hole Footgolf course sits directly on the 9-hole track, with an average of 2 Footgolf holes for every one golf hole. Visit the FOOTGOLF tab to learn more.

Our facility is available for rental for corporate outings, group outings, team building events and birthday parties. The 4,000 sq. ft. pavilion located near the pro-shop has electrical hookup and is a perfect place to gather prior to playing golf or footgolf and reconvene for scoring. Our experienced staff has run dozens of events on site and can facilitate planning including format, scoring, online sign up and more! Visit the EVENTS tab to learn more.

Since the facility’s inception, it has been a community hub. It is open 364 days a year from dawn until dusk – welcoming golfers from the metro Austin area and families/youth who participate the numerous programs hosted on site.
