What is the Harvey Penick Golf Campus? The Harvey Penick Golf Campus consists of a 9 hole golf course, 3 hole short course, driving range, practice putting and chipping green. Who owns the Harvey Penick Golf Campus? The Harvey Penick Golf Campus land is owned by the YMCA of Austin. The First Tee of Greater Austin has a long term lease and built the entire project. Is the golf course only for The First Tee of Greater Austin to use? No. The Harvey Penick Golf Campus is a public golf course. Open Monday through Friday 8 - dusk and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 7:00am until dusk. Why did The First Tee of Greater Austin build the golf course? The Harvey Penick Golf Campus will allow The First Tee of Greater Austin to expand its afterschool programs and to offer more programs for youth and their families. Where do the revenues go from the golf course? Harvey Penick Golf Campus revenues stay at the golf course. Your greens fees are used to help maintain the golf course and to subsidize The First Tee of Greater Austin Program. What else does the Harvey Penick Golf Campus have to offer? Besides being a PGA Tour Designed challenging public golf course. The Harvey Penick Golf Campus is available to entertain your business clients by hosting a corporate golf outing, birthday party, family reunion, or fund-raising event. In addition to the golf event possibilities the campus also has a 4,000 sq. ft. pavilion available for meetings, meals and entertainment. Does the campus also offer golf lessons outside of The First Tee Program? The Harvey Penick Golf Campus is very proud to have PGA Teaching Professional Dave Baron and Vicki Woodcock, LPGA T&CP, PGA Teaching Professional as our instructors.
